The department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry is one of the core departments, engaged in research related to drug development and discovery. The Department has laboratories for conducting courses and providing research facilities in the field of computer-aided drug design, synthesis and characterization of novel drug entities.
The department is equipped with sophisticated instruments, which are used for training of the students as well as carrying out research work at all levels. The instruments include UV-Visible Spectrophotometers, Digital Photoflourometer, Colorimeter, Digital weighing balance (very microgram sensitivity).
In addition to this, the program empowers students to continue to pursue higher studies and research activities.
Faculty members are actively engaged in research and they publish their work in reputed National and International journals.
The future of Pharmaceutical Chemistry department holds a wide range of career opportunities for young aspirants.
